About

About 1zu1scale GmbH

At 1zu1scale, we manufacture precision plastic components from early product development to scalable series production. Based in Dornbirn, Austria, and part of the international PROTOTAL GROUP, we combine injection molding, industrial 3D printing and vacuum casting to support customers throughout the manufacturing process.

Our injection molding operations cover aluminum and steel tooling, insert and multi-component molding, and controlled ISO Class 8 cleanroom production for demanding applications. We work with customers across medical technology, electronics, mechanical engineering and automation.

Established in 1996, the business adopted the 1zu1scale name in 2026 and operates under ISO 9001 and EN ISO 13485 quality systems.

Capabilities

Our competencies

Injection molded parts

Injection molded parts

Precision injection molding at our Dornbirn site supports prototype, pre-series and industrial series requirements. More than 20 injection molding machines with clamping forces from 10 to 160 tonnes cover small technical parts through components approximately DIN A5 in size. Aluminum and steel tooling, insert overmolding and multi-component solutions enable reproducible parts for electronics, medical technology and industry.

3D Printed parts

3D Printed parts

Industrial 3D printing is part of our offering for functional prototypes, validation and series-oriented components. The company offers processes including stereolithography and other additive manufacturing techniques. It is used together with injection molding and vacuum casting to support development through production.

Injection and compression molds

Our in-house tooling expertise covers aluminum and steel injection molds for prototypes, small series and high-volume production. The tool design and manufacturing process supports precision, stable series production and quick development iterations. High-speed five-axis milling is used for detailed mold inserts.

Cleanroom Parts Manufacturing

Injection molded plastic components can be produced in the ISO Class 8 cleanroom at Dornbirn. Three encapsulated ARBURG machines, including two 70-tonne and one 100-tonne units, support controlled cleanroom manufacturing for applications requiring traceable production processes.
