About PAYER International Technologies GmbH

PAYER International Technologies GmbH is based in St. Bartholomä, Austria, and serves as the headquarters and Technology & Innovation Center of the PAYER Group. Building on a manufacturing heritage dating back to 1946, PAYER supports international customers in medical technology and consumer goods through integrated product development and manufacturing services.

Our activities combine precision plastic injection moulding, mechanical and electronic product engineering, prototype development, industrial engineering, tooling and assembly. The Austrian location increasingly focuses on complex medical technology, including controlled-environment production and device components. By coordinating development, validation and manufacturing, we help customers progress from an initial product concept to qualified series production.

Capabilities

Our competencies

Injection molded parts

Injection molded parts

Our Austrian Technology & Innovation Center combines precision plastic injection moulding with advanced medical manufacturing requirements. The PAYER network processes technical and high-performance thermoplastics and supports automated, multi-component and insert-overmoulding projects. Our production engineering integrates process qualification, component quality and subsequent assembly for demanding medical applications.

Injection and compression molds

Injection and compression molds

Toolmaking is an integrated part of our development-to-production approach. Complex injection moulds and rapid tools are developed and produced in Austria for sampling and industrialisation projects. Our tooling specialists use design and process simulation to optimise performance before mould qualification. This description documents injection mould tooling; it does not imply verified thermoset compression mould manufacture.

Mold design

Mold design

Our engineers develop precision mould concepts as part of integrated product industrialisation. Computer-aided tool design and injection-moulding simulation support the planning of process-capable tools, including demanding multicavity and multicomponent solutions. Tool design is coordinated with initial sampling and documented quality validation.

Assembled parts

Assembled parts

PAYER provides manual, semi-automated and fully automated assembly as part of its integrated manufacturing services. Assembly approaches are selected according to product complexity, scale and validation requirements. Projects may incorporate joining, testing and packaging processes, especially for regulated medical products and device subassemblies.

Technical parts

High-precision technical plastic components form an important part of our medical manufacturing portfolio. In particular, our injection-moulding expertise supports microfluidic applications in which dimensional accuracy and optical performance are essential. Engineering, material selection and process control are coordinated to meet each application’s functional requirements.

Cleanroom Parts Manufacturing

At our Austrian headquarters, controlled clean and grey room areas are used for the production and testing of complex medical components. Injection-moulding stations feed directly into the controlled production area, supporting regulated medical manufacturing workflows. The described environment is not claimed to be sterile or assigned an unverified ISO cleanroom class.

Part design

Mechanical product development starts with customer-specific specifications and functional requirements. Using CATIA V5, our development teams prepare part and device concepts, CAD models and technical drawings. Where needed, mould-flow or finite-element analysis supports design refinement before prototype testing and transfer to production.

Prototyping

Our product-development process includes in-house prototyping and early functional validation. The team uses 3D printing, including 2K PolyJet capability, and rapid tooling to test designs and prepare limited production runs. Prototyping helps identify necessary changes before industrialisation and serial manufacturing.
