About STIWA Advanced Products GmbH

STIWA Advanced Products GmbH, based in Gampern, Austria, develops and manufactures precision components, mechatronic products and assemblies for industrial customers. As STIWA Manufacturing, the business brings together product and process development, in-house toolmaking, plastic injection moulding, metal processing and automated assembly. Its activities extend from prototype engineering through to highly automated serial production and functional testing.

The plastics operation manufactures complex injection-moulded components, including two-component and plastic–metal combinations, supported by coordinated component and mould engineering. The company also develops solutions for battery-cell housings, consumer electronics, mobility and industrial applications. Integrated manufacturing and quality processes allow individual components and assembled systems to be developed and produced within one industrial framework.

Our competencies

Injection molded parts

Injection molded parts

Precision plastic injection moulding is a core activity of STIWA Advanced Products. Our integrated plastics operation combines prototype development, in-house tooling and automated series production, including two-component moulding and plastic–metal overmoulding. The published manufacturing portfolio covers a range of precision parts and functional assemblies for automotive, medical engineering, electronics and other technical applications.

Technical parts

Technical parts

Customer-specific technical plastic components are developed and produced for applications that demand dimensional accuracy, reliable function and repeatable series manufacture. STIWA combines component design, plastics processing and in-process testing in an integrated production workflow. Typical applications include precision parts for automotive and electronic products as well as plastic elements in battery systems.

Injection and compression molds

Injection and compression molds

In-house toolmaking supports the development and production of plastic injection-moulded components from prototype through to serial production. Tool engineers design and manufacture series tools, including two-component moulds, and carry out tool trials within the STIWA production environment. The official plastics competence page documents precision toolmaking and coordinated component design.

Mold design

The mould engineering team integrates tool design with component development and planned manufacturing requirements. Three-dimensional design, manufacturing expertise and in-house tool testing allow direct feedback from trials and serial production. Special attention is given to production-ready geometry, precision and tool reliability.

Part design

Part design

Product engineering is integrated with manufacturing planning from the earliest project phases. STIWA develops customised plastic and metal–plastic components using mechanical design, simulation and component testing. Development work considers function, manufacturability and the subsequent automated assembly process.

Assembled parts

Assembled parts

Highly automated component assembly is one of the established manufacturing activities at the Gampern site. STIWA combines plastic and metal components into functional assemblies, coordinating assembly technology with in-line quality control and end-of-line testing. Product and process engineering are developed together to enable stable, scalable serial production.

Prototyping

Prototypes and trial components can be developed and manufactured using the company’s integrated design and production expertise. STIWA uses in-house prototyping, practical testing and iterative production feedback to validate product and process concepts. These activities support the transition from individual components to industrialised series production.

Cleanroom Assembly

STIWA documents assembly and component analyses under cleanroom conditions for its battery-cell housing solutions. Cleanliness management is integrated with testing and automated assembly for applications requiring controlled contamination levels. This competency relates specifically to documented cleanroom assembly, not an assumption that all injection moulding is performed in a cleanroom.
