About BOUVARD-INPA

BOUVARD-INPA brings together two complementary manufacturing activities at one site in Chazé-Henry, France. BOUVARD has specialized in the design and manufacture of metal injection moulds since 1965, while INPA, established in 1980, produces custom thermoplastic injection-moulded components. The shared organization links tooling and component production.

Projects can begin with a customer-supplied 3D drawing or a design developed by the in-house engineering office. Tooling is manufactured and tested before sample parts are evaluated against agreed requirements. Following prototype validation, INPA produces components in short or long runs using materials such as ABS, polyamide, polypropylene, polyethylene, PVC and transparent engineering plastics.

The company serves applications including medical equipment, construction, industrial tooling and sports products. Its production capabilities include overmoulding and ultrasonic welding, with quality checks during industrialization. The shared operation uses 34 injection presses rated from 35 to 600 tonnes.

Capabilities

Our competencies

Injection molded parts

Injection molded parts

INPA manufactures custom thermoplastic injection-moulded components in small and large production series. Material and colour selection are adapted to customer specifications, with prototype parts inspected before series production. The shared facility operates injection presses with clamping capacities from 35 to 600 tonnes.

Technical parts

Technical parts

The company develops tailored plastic components for applications with differing requirements in shape, strength, appearance and operating environment. Engineering support helps select suitable polymers and refine manufacturing requirements. Sample parts are checked before serial manufacture starts.

Injection and compression molds

Injection and compression molds

BOUVARD designs and manufactures metal injection moulds in its integrated tooling workshop. Projects can be developed from customer 3D data or with support from the engineering office. Completed tooling undergoes workshop testing and can be transferred to INPA or the customer site.

Mold design

Tool engineering is part of the integrated BOUVARD workflow, from project discussion to design and manufacturing. The team assesses customers’ technical requirements and can work from existing 3D drawings. Designed moulds are then manufactured and tested in the company workshop.

Part design

The in-house design office supports the development and optimization of customer-specific plastic parts. It can work to client drawings or prepare 3D designs from the project specification. Material choice, shape and manufacturing constraints are considered before tooling and validation.

Prototyping

Sample moulded parts are produced to validate the design before series manufacturing begins. The validation process includes checks against agreed dimensions and colour requirements. This supports repeatable production.

Welded parts

The company lists ultrasonic welding among its manufacturing capabilities. This process can be considered where the component design requires joining plastic parts. The exact joining configuration and finished article must be confirmed against project-specific evidence.
