About Plastica Alfa S.p.A.

Plastica Alfa S.p.A. is an Italian plastics-processing manufacturer based in Caltagirone, Sicily. For more than four decades, our company has developed products and systems for irrigation and landscaping, hydraulic water networks, thermohydraulics and firefighting applications. Our portfolio reaches customers in more than 80 countries through an international distribution network.

We manage a broad production cycle internally, combining component engineering, CAD/CAM-based mould development, a dedicated mould workshop, injection moulding and pipe extrusion. Injection-moulding operations occupy approximately 6,000 m² and use 35 presses with clamping forces from 90 to 1,200 tonnes. A separate 6,000 m² extrusion area is equipped with five automated lines, while dedicated facilities support assembly, packaging and logistics.

Quality assurance and product innovation are central to our manufacturing approach. Our laboratories support the verification of functional and material properties, and our catalogue includes valves, pipe systems, fittings and irrigation accessories for professional applications.

Injection molded parts

Injection molded parts

Our injection-moulding department manufactures plastic components for irrigation, hydraulics, thermohydraulics and firefighting systems. A dedicated 6,000 m² production area operates 35 injection moulding presses with clamping forces from 90 to 1,200 tonnes. Production is supported by tooling specialists, process monitoring and testing activities. The resulting product portfolio includes valves, fittings and other technically demanding fluid-system components.

Technical parts

Technical parts

Plastica Alfa develops technical plastic products for fluid transport, regulation and distribution. Its portfolio encompasses engineered components for agricultural irrigation, water infrastructure and building services. Products are designed with attention to their intended function and subjected to internal laboratory testing for relevant mechanical and hydraulic characteristics.

Mold design

At Plastica Alfa, product engineering and injection-mould design form part of an integrated development workflow. The internal team uses CAD/CAM tools and fluid-flow simulation to refine product geometry and functionality before industrial production. Design work is linked to in-house tooling and testing, enabling structured progression from concept to manufacture.

Injection and compression molds

An in-house 1,000 m² tooling workshop manufactures moulds used for Plastica Alfa's injection-moulded product portfolio. The facility includes ten CNC workstations and supports the company's integrated production cycle. The team connects mould manufacture with first-article verification, process development and the production requirements of technically demanding plastic parts.

Part design

Component design is carried out internally with specialist engineering personnel and advanced CAD/CAM software. Functional requirements, product geometry and fluid-dynamic behaviour inform the development of products for water, irrigation and thermohydraulic systems. The design process is coordinated with prototype validation, mould manufacture and laboratory testing.

Extruded parts

Plastic pipe extrusion is an integral part of our manufacturing operations at Plastica Alfa. Our dedicated 6,000 m² extrusion department operates five automated production lines, supporting the manufacture of plastic pipes for irrigation and water distribution systems. This production capability complements our injection-moulding activities, allowing us to offer integrated solutions combining extruded pipes with moulded fittings and valves. Our internal manufacturing and quality-control processes support the production of components for demanding hydraulic and agricultural applications.
