Injection molded parts
Friedrichs & Rath manufactures high-precision thermoplastic parts on more than 60 injection-molding machines with 200–5,000 kN clamping force, including multi-component molding with up to four components and insert molding
Friedrichs & Rath GmbH is a family-owned plastics specialist based in Extertal, Germany, founded in 1965. The Extertal competence center employs around 200 people and operates more than 60 injection-molding machines with clamping forces from 200 to 5,000 kN. The company manufactures high-precision thermoplastic components and assemblies for automotive, electronics and aerospace applications. Its capabilities include conventional and multi-component injection molding with up to four components, insert molding, IMD technology, assembly, ultrasonic and hot-gas welding, automation and integrated quality testing. Friedrichs & Rath also supports customers from the development stage with feasibility assessment, filling and warpage simulation and production-oriented product design. The site processes technical high-performance thermoplastics and supplies products such as accelerator-pedal components, DC charging connector components and aircraft cabin parts. The Extertal operation is certified to IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001
Friedrichs & Rath manufactures high-precision thermoplastic parts on more than 60 injection-molding machines with 200–5,000 kN clamping force, including multi-component molding with up to four components and insert molding
The Extertal site produces technically demanding precision plastic components for automotive, electronics and aerospace applications, including sensor, safety, charging and aircraft-interior parts.
Friedrichs & Rath supports projects from the first inquiry with feasibility assessment, CAD-based filling and warpage simulation and production-oriented product design before serial tooling and production.
Simple and complex assemblies are produced directly at the molding machine or in downstream operations, from manual assembly to automated multi-stage processes with integrated functional and leak testing.
Friedrichs & Rath uses IMD technology to overmold printed films, creating durable decorative and functional surfaces for visible plastic parts in automotive, electrical and aircraft applications.
Plastic components are joined into assemblies using ultrasonic and hot-gas welding, integrated into downstream or automated production processes and combined with functional, dimensional or leak testing.
