About

About Miraplast Kunststoffverarbeitungs GmbH

Miraplast is an Austrian, family-run plastics processor whose origins date to 1964. Our headquarters and manufacturing plant are located in Würmla, Lower Austria. Through MiraTech, we provide industrial customers with a connected workflow covering design, simulation, prototype development, injection mould construction, automated injection moulding and assembly.

Our MiraHome brand complements this B2B offering with a broad portfolio of kitchen and household products, including food-storage containers and home organisation systems. We operate our own Austrian mouldmaking operation and injection-moulding production, supported by process quality controls. Miraplast Hungaria Kft. is our separate wholly owned subsidiary in Hungary and should not be confused with the Austrian legal entity.

Capabilities

Our competencies

Injection molded parts

Injection molded parts

Injection moulding has been at the centre of our manufacturing activities since the company was founded in 1964. At our Würmla headquarters, fully automated moulding operations support serial production of plastic components for consumer and industrial applications. Our production systems include Engel and Wittmann Battenfeld machinery, with robotic handling and continuous in-process quality checks. We process conventional and engineering polymers and integrate product development, tooling and production.

Technical parts

Technical parts

MiraTech develops and produces technical plastic components to suit customers’ functional and manufacturing requirements. From early feasibility through tooling design and stable series manufacture, our team coordinates the major process stages within one organisation. Engineering materials and component-quality controls form part of our technical production capabilities. Our work supports customers with application-specific plastic parts rather than only off-the-shelf household products.

Injection and compression molds

Injection and compression molds

Our in-house toolshop designs and manufactures injection moulds for prototype and production applications. We build complex moulds with multiple cavities, hot-runner systems, slides and conformal cooling where required by the design. Our stated mouldmaking capacity includes tools up to 800 × 800 mm. Moulds are sampled and transferred into series production using our associated injection-moulding operations. The evidence establishes injection moulds specifically; compression mould manufacture is not claimed.

Mold design

Mold design

Mould engineering is integrated into our product-development and toolmaking workflow. We use design and process-simulation methods to examine feasibility and optimise the anticipated moulding process. Tool concepts are developed for the component geometry, manufacturing requirements and planned series output. Close interaction between design, toolmaking and moulding helps transfer new projects to production.

Part design

Part design

Our development team works with customers to turn initial concepts into manufacturable plastic components. We clarify project requirements before preparing construction and design solutions. Digital modelling and mould-flow simulation help identify critical points prior to tool manufacture. This coordinated approach supports new product ideas from specification through industrialisation.

Assembled parts

Assembled parts

Our services continue beyond production of individual moulded components. In-house assembly activities combine manufactured parts into customer-ready subassemblies or complete units. The documented service range also includes packaging, labelling, order preparation and logistics. This integrated approach allows customers to coordinate both plastic part manufacture and downstream operations with Miraplast.

3D Printed parts

3D Printed parts

Our development workflow uses 3D printing to make tangible plastic prototypes and help customers assess new product ideas. Additive prototypes can accelerate several design iterations before production moulds are manufactured. We also describe additive approaches for prototype tooling applications. These are prototyping capabilities, not evidence that all serial components are additively manufactured.

Prototyping

We use additive manufacturing to produce physical prototypes during the development cycle. Such prototypes support visual assessment, design iteration and early verification before investment in serial tooling. MiraTech also describes prototype injection mould applications within its development service. The process is closely connected to our in-house design and mould construction activities.
