Pollmann Austria GmbH is based in Karlstein an der Thaya, Austria, within the international Pollmann group. The company operates in an engineering environment focused on the development and large-scale production of complex metal–plastic and mechatronic components for the mobility industry. The group brings together plastics injection moulding, metal processing, electronics integration and assembly in coordinated production processes.

Our group combines advanced plastics injection moulding with metal stamping and electronics integration for mobility components. Its documented processes include conventional injection moulding, insert and outsert techniques, multi-component moulding and overmoulded electronics. Production focuses on precision components and functional housings for automotive systems. Karlstein is a key Austrian production and development location within this network.
We develop and manufacture technically demanding components in combinations of plastics, metals and electronics. Applications shown in our portfolio include door-lock housings, powertrain connectors and electronic-module structures. Product development takes account of demanding fit, integration and production requirements. The portfolio spans complex parts designed for high-volume automotive manufacturing.
Our mechatronic modules combine moulded parts, stamped metal elements and electronic components. The group uses automated or manual assembly, together with welding, joining, soldering and related processes where required by the product design. Functional verification is incorporated into the manufacturing sequence. This integrated approach enables customers to receive application-specific assemblies.
Prototypes support the development and validation of new mechatronic products before series manufacture. Our group connects design, process development and manufacturing engineering throughout the project. Prototype work assists the evaluation of component concepts and manufacturing feasibility. Production planning then prepares verified designs for industrialisation.
Product design integrates plastics, metal elements and electronics from an early project stage. Our engineering activities consider technical functions alongside the manufacturing and assembly processes required for volume production. Development is aligned with the automotive customer’s system requirements. Karlstein serves as a central research and development location for the Pollmann network.
